Having committed to a life less ordinary at an early age, Kevin Denholm has spent over 20 years telling stories. His work has seen him lunching with druglords in Columbia, held at gunpoint in Mozambique and hijacked in Ethiopian airspace.
Kevin’s ‘real people’ approach sees him bring an artful empathy to a wide body of work that spans from top-end commercials to inspirational humanitarian documentaries. It’s an approach that is evident in some of his most memorable work; the great Kiwi vernacular of Toyota’s iconic Everyday People series, the Antipodean landscape of Air New Zealand’s viral Bear Grylls safety video, and Mitre 10’s beloved kid-centric Sandpit TVC.
The alchemy of his fascination with the human condition and his creative wanderlust has also seen Kevin and his team undertake globe-spanning humanitarian projects, including documenting prisons in over 40 countries, training his lens on the Rwandan Genocide and covering the plight of international refugees.
